President Maduro makes call to the USA to stop the economic war against the peoples of the world

During his «Con Maduro+” program, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro called on the United States (USA) to stop the trade and economic war against the world and the sanctions imposed on countries seeking independence.

Referring to the global situation, the Venezuelan head of state described the current trade war as “an economic nuclear war,» noting that «the United States is inflicting great damage on themselves

«That war is there. Well, we are observing it, (we were) always getting ourselves prepared for this war. We say it is a mistake to unleash a global economic trade war. We say it is immoral to harm the countries of the world with economic sanctions to colonize them, as they have tried to do for 65 years against Cuba,» he explained.

He stated that they are trying to do the same against nations such as Nicaragua, Venezuela, Russia, and North Korea.

In his statements, the president emphasized the need for Venezuelan production to continue, and expressed his commitment to economic development:

«We must produce everything in Venezuela: food, medicine, science, technology, public services, fuel, shoes, clothing, everything,» he stated.

National industry projected to grow by more than 16%:

The president highlighted the positive economic outlook for the country, emphasizing that «Venezuelan industry will grow by more than 16% this year» and that «agriculture will grow by more than 5%.»

Along these lines, President Maduro urged the transformation of these forecasts into tangible and productive actions:

«Today (we are) more united than ever to demonstrate that the economic model we are building in Venezuela is the relevant model, (one that is) invulnerable to the global economic war,» he stated.
