With firm conviction, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, asserted that Venezuela of the 21st century is built in schools and high schools, being these training institutions a premonition of the society that is desired to be projected.
In his “Con Maduro Live de Repente” (With Maduro Suddenly Live) program, the head of State indicated that schools and high schools must seek to contribute to «the society of equals, of humane, supportive, educated, cultured, scientific people,» because – he argued – the Venezuela of the 21st century is being built in schools.
The elements that will contribute to this task are values, example, work and dedication, he emphasized, when officially handing over and fully recovered by the Military Community Brigades for Education and Health (Bricomiles) and the Juntos Todo es Posible program, the El Nacional Educational Unit, in Pan de Azúcar, located in Los Teques (Miranda state), during a satellite contact.
He insisted on the importance of putting into practice an education in values, as the only formula, based on work, which involves «learning by doing and doing by learning, producing and learning to produce on the land.»
He exemplified as a method the My School Conuco(*) Carlos Lanz Rodríguez Program, that is, developing education through new pedagogy.
Doing a lot with little:
Regarding the El Nacional Educational Unit, in Pan de Azúcar, the President said that it has been recovered thanks to the income of Venezuela, and «doing a lot with little.»
With commitment, he said that the work in this regard will continue in favor of the people with the Military Community Brigades, investing in education, health, life and attending to the priorities of our people, with love and perseverance:
«You have not been able to, nor you will!» he said to those who seek to prevent us from «building direct democracy.»
The reopening of this educational center included rehabilitation to guarantee initial and basic education, the rehabilitation of courts, bathrooms, and classrooms.
The community welcomed the renovation of all the spaces of the school, which from this moment is ready for 631 boys and girls who benefit from this reopening.
«This should be motivation to learn more and more,» said the Venezuelan head of state.
