The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, through her account on Telegram, announced that on January 10 they will honor the Venezuelan people who decided for peace and the future of the nation.
Likewise, the executive reiterated that she will seal another page in history «by swearing in President Nicolás Maduro Moros, for the 2025-2031 term. We will celebrate the triumph of peace over fascism, expressed in the elections of July 28 of this year, to guarantee the sovereignty and the sacred right to self-determination of our people,» said Rodríguez.
In this sense, the minister stressed that she has been reviewing the details of the activities scheduled for that day «that will adorn Venezuela.»
We recall that on October 16, the National Assembly invited the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, to appear on January 10, 2025, to be sworn in as President reelected for the 2025-2031 term, in compliance with what is dictated by the Constitution of the Republic, in its article 231.
Likewise, the letter was sent on October 15 to the Office of the Presidency and was duly received, signed and sealed.
In response to the invitation, the president declared his firm attendance to be sworn in as established by the Constitution:
“I will formally appear to be sworn in as established by the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, by mandate of the sovereign people,” he indicated.
According to Article 231 of the Constitution: “The elected candidate will take possession of the office of President of the Republic on January 10 of the first year of his or her constitutional term, by swearing an oath before the National Assembly.”
