The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, met on Monday afternoon with authorities of the Repsol oil company of Spain, to advance with new agreements.

The board was headed by José Carlo De Vicente Bravo, international executive director of Repsol Exploration and Production; and Luis Antonio García Sánchez, president of Repsol Venezuela.

The Venezuelan head of state was accompanied by the executive vice president and People’s Power minister for Petroleum, Delcy Rodríguez; and Héctor Obregón, president of Petróleos de Venezuela S.A. (PDVSA).

This meeting confirms what Minister Rodríguez said on September 14 after speaking with these authorities: «The Venezuelan nation continues to advance in its energy cooperation plans and in alliances with companies that, like Repsol, trust and invest in the world’s largest oil reserve,» she said.
