President Nicolás Maduro Moros approved this Friday the proposal to convert the historic San Carlos Barracks in Caracas as the National Headquarters of the Great Mission Viva Venezuela Mi Patria Querida, within the vertex number 4 of the socialist program that enhances the identity and culture of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela:
“They have proposed to me to build a national headquarters for the Great Mission, because it needs its place for work, coordination, schools and workshops, a network broadcast center, recording studios, and they have proposed to activate and rehabilitate the historic San Carlos Barracks and turn it into the National Headquarters of the Great Mission Viva Venezuela, Mi Patria Querida. Approved! Do move over there immediately, it is a wonderful place and an ideal space,» said the head of State, during a meeting with the state promotion teams, held at the Aquiles Nazoa Cultural House in Caracas.
Maduro said that, as part of this fourth vertex, the plan for the network of cultural houses by parish is continuing to be reviewed and this goal is being accelerated. Meanwhile, the delivery of the space in the San Carlos Barracks will help speed up all actions.
The colonial building, located next to the National Pantheon and the Mausoleum of the Liberator Simón Bolívar, has plazas, boulevards, natural and open spaces, amphitheaters and enough land for the development of the activities of the cultural workers registered in the Great Mission: «I think there was no other more beautiful place, and (also a) historical heritage.»
