The president of the Bolivarian Republic, Nicolás Maduro, warned about a coup d’état plan that the ultra-right wing is secretly plotting to attack Venezuela’s electrical system, which according to first-hand information, they seek to alter to destabilize the country and cause damage to the communities where Chavismo has strong electoral support, with 80% of the votes:
“I have evidence that the extreme right wing is preparing an offensive against the electrical system. They want to damage the climate of peace and tranquility that has been brought to the electoral event,” stated the president during his denounce, in which he ordered the military high command to initiate an emergency plan to guarantee the safety of the population.
In his denounce, the head of state pointed out that those responsible for sabotaging the electrical system are “arrested, captured and confessed”, however to counter this threat, he ordered the creation of a new 24-hour patrol system in the electrical installations of the cities, with the aim of housing the perpetrators who seek to destabilize the nation.
