During the meeting, the president of CIIP, Félix Plasencia, pointed out that Venezuela has many opportunities in sectors and areas of infrastructure, services and products, in addition to its advantageous geographical location as a gateway to Latin America, which makes it an ideal country to start any project.

For her part, the president of the Instituto Marca Pais (Country Brand Institute), Daniella Cabello, showed the various opportunities the Nation has to strengthen cooperation ties and study the multiple business possibilities.

Likewise, Johan Álvarez described the strategic objectives of the ZEE to attract foreign investment and boost the industrial development of the region.

It is important to highlight that the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, in 2022 announced the creation of the aforementioned ZEE in order to make a positive use of all the resources that have the places chosen to be developed as ZEE, an initiative that is part of the strategies of the Bolivarian Government to eradicate the rentier and oil economic system.

One of the four ZEEs is La Tortuga Island, where “one of the most important tourism projects” in the Caribbean will be developed.

Venezuela is advancing in the construction of a new model, which integrates the economic, productive and technological potential of the different regions of the country as a source of national and international investment.
