96 people from Carabobo successfully completed first diploma course on Liberator Simón Bolívar’s life and work

After the national call made in 2022 from the Simón Bolívar Studies Center there was a great receptivity in Carabobo state, with the participation of 96 people who in the next few days will receive their certificate of approval and completion of the first Diploma in the Life and Work of the Father of the Homeland.

Arístides Sánchez, who is the regional coordinator of the Simón Bolívar Studies Center, highlighted the insurgent character that was reflected in the development of this diploma and that tells in a different way the struggles, work and legacy of one of the most important men for the independence of Venezuela and Latin America:

This story is framed in the decolonization of thought and memory, an insurgent story that produces the epistemic breaks that will allow us to have access to the true story that was made invisible, denied, and misreported by political interests”, said Sánchez.

“If you do not know the past, you cannot understand the processes that are taking place in the present,” pointed out Professor Sánchez, while stressing that the main task of the Simón Bolívar Study Center is to disseminate the true history of the Liberator and of Venezuela, starting from the original peoples.
