«In these miraculous hours in which hope is reborn together with the child God, I invite the people to continue caring for and making our beloved Venezuela great,» said the National President, Nicolás Maduro, in his Christmas message.
Accompanied by the first combatant woman, Cilia Flores, the head of state highlighted that dignity shines in the country «in every corner of this land, because in every home, in every neighborhood and in every village, heroism became a daily fact.»
In addition, he assured that «this is our Homeland as we have built it with our own efforts, we come from a long history that was born as a dream, the purest and highest that one can have, (that of) freedom.»
The Head of State also highlighted that «our bones, our souls, our hearts are made of this dream, which with the stubbornness of the Orinoco river, make their way towards the future.»
For her part, the first combatant woman said that «this is how we Venezuelan men and women are: free, happy and generous.»
“Happy with our beautiful landscapes, of lights and harmony; of tropical jungles, of coasts, of plains, and when Christmas arrives, no matter how diverse our faces may be, a hug is enough to unite us as a single family”, she commented.
And she thanked God «for having allowed us to be born in the most beautiful place on earth, in Venezuela.»
