Venezuela reaffirms commitment to contribute to total peace in Colombia

Through a communiqué from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Venezuela reaffirmed its commitment as a guarantor country of the dialogue process between the Government and the National Liberation Army (ELN) of Colombia.

The Chancellory reports that Venezuela celebrates the resumption of the dialogues blocked by the previous government of former Uribista president Iván Duque, and “aspires to consolidate this new effort between the parties, so that the people of Colombia may overcome this long period of conflicts that would strengthen Latin America and the Caribbean as a zone of peace”.
