Colombia supplies weapons to criminal gangs to destabilize the country

On 24 occasions, the Venezuelan State has denounced and presented evidence on the actions of the government of Colombian President Iván Duque in the attacks and dangerous incursions against the peace and tranquility of the Venezuelan people.

This was stated by the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez who, at a press conference from the Federal Legislative Palace in Caracas, pointed out that these evidences have been delivered between 2018 and 2022 before international organizations such as the United Nations, where is evidenced the use in Colombia of intelligence agencies, the Armed Forces and the police forces in order to attack Venezuela.

According to Rodríguez, Duque’s government has financed armed criminal gangs in Cota 905, El Valle and La Vega, located in Caracas, and which are dedicated to kidnapping and drug trafficking to destabilize our country. In this sense, he specified that in 2015, during the parliamentary elections, these criminal groups received direct orders from former opposition deputy Juan Guaidó and from the extreme right wing to intimidate the population so it wouldn’t go out to vote.

He emphasized that “all the weapons of crime that exist in Venezuela and of paramilitary groups and drug traffickers come from Colombia”. He explained that the United States delivers the weapons to the Colombian government and that they are then distributed among criminal groups, such as those of a.k.a. “Koki” or the “Aragua Train”.

Rodríguez reported that he requested a meeting with the Minister of Interior Relations, Remigio Ceballos, to learn about the actions of the Venezuelan State against these groups, among which is Operation Cacique Guaicaipuro II, which was recently deployed in Aragua state.
