The ambulatory, hospital network and administrative offices of the Venezuelan Institute of Social Security, is in the process of rehabilitation and restructuring.
Thus was reported by Magaly Gutierrez, president of IVSS, in the Vía Alterna (Alternate Way) program, led by the journalist, Isbemar Jiménez:
“We have made rehabilitations and adjustments to serve the entire population; We started with 350 beds and now we have 1,950 beds in Caracas and 5,000 nationwide to treat patients with Covid-19”, explained Magaly Gutierrez, via Radio Nacional de Venezuela.
Additionally, preventive and corrective maintenance has been carried out in emergency areas, operating rooms, air conditioners; Dialysis units have also been inaugurated and others that were in private hands were rescued.
The 45 high-cost medicines pharmacies are also operating for the benefit of cancer patients in the country, as indicated by the highest authority of the IVSS, Magaly Gutierrez.
It is important to highlight that the IVSS ambulatory network is collaborating in the mass vaccination process against Covid-19 for the population 12 years and older.
