Venezuela and Cuba review agenda of Integral Cooperation Agreement

In order to review the work agenda established in the Cuba-Venezuela Integral Cooperation Agreement, the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez and the Vice Prime Minister of the island country and co-president of the Intergovernmental Commission of the Agreement, Ricardo Cabrisas, met to strengthen joint support in different areas of interest between both countries.

During the meeting, the delegations presented their approaches and proposals based on the directionality of favoring the development of the peoples, as well as strengthening the strategic alliance that has been consolidated from this agreement, signed by Commanders Hugo Chávez and Fidel Castro Ruz on October 30, 2000, and which is deepened each year by the political will of Presidents Nicolás Maduro and Miguel Díaz-Canel.

Almost 21 years after the signing of the Cuba-Venezuela Integral Cooperation Agreement, the two countries continue to increase and promote cooperation programs and projects in the health, education, energy, science and technology, culture, defense and sports areas, for boosting their economies and the well-being of the peoples despite the blockade and sanctions.
