Venezuela registers 468 new infections of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, 353 community cases and 115 imported cases, as announced this Wednesday the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez.

Through her social networks, the head of the Presidential Commission for the Prevention and Control of Covid-19, reported that today “The Capital District is the entity that registers the highest number of new infections (84), with active cases in 18 parishes; It is followed by states Mérida (77) and Miranda (53)”.

In turn, he pointed out that the 115 imported cases are distributed as follows: Dominican Republic (40), Turkey (14), Panama (12), Mexico (5), Portugal (4), Curaçao (4) and Ecuador ( 2) with entry through La Guaira, in addition to 34 cases coming from Colombia, with entry through Táchira (33) and Zulia states (1).

She stated that since the first case of Covid-19 was established in the national territory, a total of 105,852 have been registered, of which 100,952 patients have successfully recovered, representing a recovery rate of 95%.

She also pointed out that there are currently 3,967 active cases, of which 2,461 are being treated in hospitals, 1,279 in Integral Diagnostic Centers and 26 in private clinics.

Rodríguez lamented the death of 5 Venezuelans: a 78-year-old woman in Miranda, a 29-year-old man in Apure, a 78-year-old man in Lara, a 31-year-old man in Táchira and a 66-year-old man in Yaracuy state, totaling 933 deaths from the virus since the beginning of the pandemic.

Finally, she stressed that the “Bolivarian Government of President Nicolás Maduro continues to guarantee the protection of the people during the broad and safe flexibility in Venezuela. This Wednesday the Venezuela Bella Mission exceeded 4 million days of disinfection and cleaning throughout the national territory”.
