COVID: Venezuela registers 265 new infections and a recovery rate of 95%

In the last 24 hours of this Sunday, the health authorities of our country have detected 265 new infections of COVID-19, of which 254 cases of community transmission and 11 are imported, while the rate of recovered is located at 95% of the total of cases when registering 99,494 recovered patients.

This was reported by the Sectoral Vice President for Communication, Culture and Tourism, Freddy Ñañez, through a series of publications on his account on the Instagram social network @luchaalmada15

He explained that the cases of community transmission are distributed geographically as follows:

Miranda: 75 new cases

Capital District: 64 new cases

Lara: 26 new cases

Carabobo: 22 new cases

Yaracuy: 15 new cases

Mérida: 10 new cases

Táchira: 9 new cases

Trujillo: 8 new cases

Aragua: 7 new cases

Sucre: 6 new cases

Bolívar: 5 new cases

Nueva Esparta: 5 new cases

Anzoátegui: 1 new case

Barinas: 1 new case

He also detailed that Miranda state is the entity with the highest number of infections in 10 of its 21 municipalities: Lander with 13 cases, El Hatillo with 9 cases, Paz Castillo with 8 cases, Independencia with 8 cases, Sucre with 7 cases, Baruta with 7 cases, Cristóbal Rojas with 7 cases, Guaicaipuro with 6 cases, Carrizal with 3 cases and Chacao with 3 cases.

Likewise, he specified that the 11 imported cases all come from Colombia, with entry through Táchira state, 3 women and 8 men. The also Minister for Communication and Information, reported that to date 2,325,906 tests have been carried out, which represents 77,530 tests per million inhabitants.

He also reported that to date there are 4,029 active cases, of which 4,003 are being treated within the Public Health System and 26 in private clinics.

In the same way, he regretted three new deaths from this virus: a 64-year-old woman from Táchira state, a 30-year-old man from Zulia state and an 88-year-old woman from Mérida state. «Condolences to their relatives and close ones,» he wrote.
