In the last 24 hours of this Sunday, Venezuela has registered 400 new infections, of which 365 are of community transmission and 35 imported cases, to increase the total number of cases to 99,835, with a recovery rate of 95% of the total cases .
This was reported by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, during his participation in the Covid-19 balance session, where he highlighted that the entity with the highest number of infections is Yaracuy state, with 96.
In this sense, he urged the governor of this entity, Julio León Heredia, to take measures to control the rise in cases in that state.
Likewise, the Chief Executive stated that, regarding the imported cases, 20 come from Colombia, 12 from Peru and 3 from Ecuador.
Likewise, he expressed that “Unfortunately we have two deceased compatriots from Táchira state, reaching 871 deaths by Covid-19.”
In the same way, he asserted that “Coronavirus in Venezuela is quite controlled, despite the fact that 85% of the people are taking to the streets,” said the President.
Last week of radical quarantine:
During this journey, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, announced that as of next Monday, November 23, begins the last week of radical quarantine of the year 2020 as part of the 7 + 7 Plus scheme, at the same time that it is decreed the safe and controlled flexibility throughout the entire month of December.
In this sense, the Head of State urged the people to continue complying with all the biosafety measures implemented to effectively combat Covid-19.
“We are in the middle of Christmas, we want to share, work, profit, gifts, love, forgiveness, meeting and reunion with families, friends and girlfriends. Christmas is the most beautiful time of the year, it is a time of spirituality, and more so in this 2020, where there has been a great family reunion as a result of coronavirus ”, he said.
In this sense, he called on the population to take care of themselves, to comply with this week of radical and voluntary quarantine with all the protocols, “so that we can develop in December, the last month of the year, the economic and commercial recovery, the reunion of families, all the activity that the country needs”, he concluded.
