COVID: Venezuela registers 300 new infections in the last 24 hours

Venezuela registered 300 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, of which 224 correspond to community infections and 76 to imported cases, all coming from Colombia, as reported the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez.

Through her account on the Twitter social network @drodriven2, the head of the Presidential Commission for the Prevention and Control of Covid-19, highlighted that: «This Wednesday the Capital District is the state with the highest number of infections (42), with active cases in 13 of its 22 parishes; followed by states Carabobo (40) and Guárico (39)».

In addition, she regretted the death of two Venezuelans due to the illness, “2 men aged 71 and 38 in Mérida state“, thus reaching a total of 860 deaths by coronavirus throughout the national territory.

Rodríguez pointed out that since the beginning of the pandemic, 98,350 cases of Covid-19 have been registered, of which 93,390 have been recovered, thus maintaining the recovery rate of 95%.

She also reported that there are currently 4,100 active cases in Venezuela, of which 2,779 are being treated in hospitals of the Public Health Service, 1,304 in Integral Diagnostic Centers and 17 in private clinics.

Finally, she announced that “With this Wednesday’s journey , Mission Venezuela Bella adds a total of 3,888,268 disinfections in different spaces throughout the national territory. This is how, by the hand of President Nicolás Maduro, we continue working to guarantee the protection of the people against the virus,” wrote the vice president.
