COVID: Venezuela registers a total of 387 new cases in the last 24 hours

This Monday, the Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, reported that Venezuela in the last 24 hours has registered a total of 387 new cases of Covid-19, 341 being community transmissions and 46 imported cases.

This was made known through her official account on the Twitter social network.

In this sense, she indicated that Mérida is the state that this Monday registers the highest number of new community cases with a total of 79 and active infections in 11 municipalities; following Lara state with 59 cases, and the Capital District with 53.

In addition, he regretted to report that today 4 Venezuelans died from the virus: 2 55-year-old and 71-year-old men in Mérida, 1 64-year-old man in Sucre state and 1 28-year-old man in Trujillo state.

Delcy Rodríguez also added that in week 34, exactly on day 246 after confirming the first case of Covid-19 in Venezuelan territory, these are the general statistics of the virus:

– Total infections: 97,739

– Recovered patients: 92,767 (95%)

– Current active cases: 4,117

– Total deceased: 855

Also, Dr. Rodríguez added that this week began a new week of flexibility, “as is contemplated in the Venezuelan formula of 7 + 7 Plus. We reiterate the call to the national productive sector to strictly comply with biosafety measures, in order to keep the contagion curve flat in the country, ” she highlighted on the Twitter social network.
