CNE will hold a second electoral drill on November 15

The president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Indira Alfonzo, announced this Tuesday that the second electoral drill will be held on November 15 in 381 voting centers. The information was released during the start of the electoral campaign, which started this Tuesday.

From the headquarters of the Electoral Power, she assured: “The second edition of the electoral simulation has been approved for November 15, again voters will have the opportunity to practice the exercise to vote for December 6”; she assured that so far has been met with a 75% of the advance of the electoral schedule.

She also explained that a follow-up plan will be applied to the campaign with prosecutors from the CNE in each region and will ensure compliance with the regulations and will extend the times for promoting candidacies in traditional media and social networks.

“Let us remember today and every day of this month of the electoral campaign the commitment to maintain bio-security measures in all acts, in the same way we guarantee transparency and security at each stage of the electoral schedule”, she said.

Alfonso assured that 5 of the 16 audits scheduled for the automated voting system have been carried out already, and the remaining 2,000 are under development. He reiterated the approval of the campaign regulations in which the considerations framed in the current situation of pandemic by Covid-19 and based on the requests of the candidates have been taken and which were welcomed for strengthening and providing greater confidence to the process.

A total of 500 points have been deployed nationwide at the Electoral Fairs with a thousand machines available.

The president also highlighted that all the applications with which the elections on December 6 have been called to elect the deputies that will make up the National Assembly for the period 2021-2026 have been received, discussed and evaluated.
