COVID: Venezuela registers 652 new cases due to community transmission and 27 imported cases

Venezuela presents 652 new cases due to community transmission and 27 imported cases of Covid-19, during the last 24 hours, as highlighted on Tuesday the Minister of People’s Power for Communication and Information, Freddy Ñañez.

Of the 652 community cases, Ñañez explained that they are divided into: 78 cases in the Capital District, 19 in Sucre parish, 16 in El Valle, 8 in El Paraíso, 5 in San Juan, 4 in Coche, 3 in Santa Rosalía, 3 in La Candelaria, 2 in Caricuao, 2 in La Pastora, 2 in El Recreo, 1 in 23 de Enero, 1 in Santa Teresa, 1 in Antímano, 1 in Altagracia, among others.

Meanwhile, the head of Communication and Information indicated that of the total number of 79,796 positive cases in Venezuela, 70,719 have recovered, which represents an 89%. He pointed out that on day 205, week 30 of the national quarantine, the 7 + 7 formula is maintained “because in Venezuela we decided to take care of ourselves”, said the head of MINCI.

He added that the death toll on Tuesday was of 7 people, bringing to a total of 665 deaths in the country. In this sense, he detailed the deaths as follows: 1 deceased from Aragua State, 62 years old and one 51 years old; 1 from Miranda state, 79 years old; 1 from Miranda state, 53 years old; 1 from Táchira state, 75 years old and one 64 years old; and 1 deceased from Sucre State, 79 years old.

Ñáñez also reported that 76 cases are in Carabobo state, 62 in Yaracuy state, 60 in Apure state, 57 in La Guaira state, 47 in Aragua state, 40 in Mérida state, 36 in Portuguesa state, 34 In Nueva Esparta state, 26 in Miranda state, 26 in Zulia state, 25 in Táchira state, 22 In Lara state, 7 in Guárico state, 15 in Barinas state, 9 in Delta Amacuro state, 9 In Trujillo state, 5 in Bolívar state, 4 in Amazonas state, 4 in Anzoátegui state.

Regarding the 27 imported cases from outside the country, Freddy Ñánez assured that 25 cases came from Colombia, of which 16 entered through Táchira state, while 8 entered through Zulia state, 1 entered through Apure state, and 2 cases came from Brazil, both entered through Bolívar state.
