COVID: Venezuela registers 612 community cases, 95 imported and 56,096 recovered

A total of 612 new cases of community transmission of COVID-19 and another 95 imported were detected in the last 24 hours by the Venezuelan health authorities, raising the total number of patients up to date who have tested positive to 66,656, of the which 56,096 have recovered (85%), so that Venezuela has a recovery percentage above the active cases of coronavirus contagion.

The information was released this Sunday by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, during the balance of the fight against COVID-19 and the 7+7 Economic and Social Flexibilization Plan.

He highlighted that all the imported cases registered in the last hours come from Colombia; a nation from which 7,521 infected compatriots have returned.

Until this Sunday there are 10,013 active cases, of which 4,774 are in hospitals, 4,839 are in Integral Diagnostic Centers (CDI) and 400 in private clinics.

Similarly, the Head of State regretted reporting the death of eight people due to the COVID-19 infection in the last hours, raising the number of fatalities to 547.
