COVID: Venezuela detects 991 community and 95 imported cases in 24 hours

The vice president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, reported this Tuesday that 991 community coronavirus cases and 95 imported cases were detected: (80) from Colombia, (9) Brazil, (4) Peru and (2) Ecuador; for a total of 1,086 new infections.

The information was released through her Twitter account @drodriven2, where he detailed that Bolívar state is the entity with the highest number of infections (217), followed by the Capital District (156), Miranda state (96), Nueva Esparta (79) and Aragua (75).

She also reported that a total of 8 Venezuelans died from coronavirus, 2 men aged 55 and 41 from Táchira state; 2 men aged 49 and 65 from Aragua; 1 woman of 69 and 1 man of 56 years from Miranda; 1 68-year-old man from Guárico and finally a 66-year-old man from Apure state.

Up to date, Venezuela has a total of 62,655 Covid-19 cases, of which 11,792 are active, 50,361 have recovered (80%), 7,501 are in Hospitals, 3,951 in CDI, 340 in Private Clinics and with the unfortunate number of 502 deaths.

The vice president highlighted the commitment of the President of the Republic and the Bolivarian Government to protect the health of the people and save the lives of those who have been infected.

At the same time she noted that USA remains the global epicenter of the pandemic. As of today, at 6:30 p.m., there are 29,685,320 cases of coronavirus in the world; 21,453,263 have recovered and 937,756 people have unfortunately died.
