The President of the Republic and Commander-in-Chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Force (FANB), Nicolás Maduro Moros, condemned the recent defamation made against Venezuela from the United States Southern Command:
“Today the Southern Command in Florida took part in an electoral campaign, where dirty, filthy, and false accusations were launched against Venezuela, against the morals and honor of our institutions and of our own lives”, he denounced, repudiating the infamy of the Secretary of National Security, Robert O’Brien, when describing Venezuela as a “narco-state”.
In this regard, the President assured that when listening to the statements of the US official, he remembers the lies fabricated against Vietnam to justify the attack perpetrated against that nation, as well as the farce on the alleged weapons of mass destruction that they attributed to the Republic of Iraq in order to bomb and invade them.
“Now lies against Venezuela are repeated every day”, insisted Maduro, in addition to ensuring that such accusations are part of Trump’s electoral campaign, a race that the US president carries out to remain in the presidential chair.
“Desperate for votes, Donald Trump goes to the Southern Command of the United States to do a campaign act”, he sentenced from the Court of Honor of the Ministry of People’s Power for Defense, in Fort Tiuna, when he led the act on the occasion of the transmission of command of the components of the Bolivarian Army, Bolivarian Navy and Bolivarian Military Aviation.
In this sense, the Venezuelan dignitary issued instructions to the sectoral vice-president for Political Sovereignty, Security and Peace, G / J Vladimir Padrino, and to the minister of People’s Power for Interior relations, Justice and peace, Néstor Reverol, to deny “all the grimy and filthy lies they launched today in the Southern Command against Venezuela”.
Finally, he encouraged the military personnel and the people of Venezuela in general to stand firm in the defense of the honor and dignity of the Republic.
“Morale on high, permanent combat! (…) Let the truth of our Homeland and the truth in our hearts prevail, because the truth of Venezuela will always overcome”, he concluded.
Military deployment in defense of peace:
The President of the Republic announced that in the next few days the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) will begin military exercises to consolidate the sovereignty and peace of Venezuela.
“We are already planning exercises in times of pandemic, and I will announce them very soon, to continue training all our troops, training the Bolivarian National Militia in the permanent exercise of defense of this sacred land that is Venezuela”, he said.
The implementation of these trainings responds to the continuous attacks and threats by the North American empire. Venezuela remains on high alert to fully defend the national territory from inch to inch.
