Venezuela sums 146 cases of coronavirus and five deaths

The Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, informed that Venezuela registers a total of 146 positive cases for coronavirus (Covid-19), after confirming this Thursday two infected and two deceased to add five deaths in total.

In statements broadcast from Miraflores Palace, Rodríguez detailed that one of the two infected infected confirmed this Thursday has died, while the other deceased was one of the first cases.

Rodríguez expanded that, of the two cases of deaths from Covid-19, one is a 64-year-old male Venezuelan with previous obstructive bronchopulmonary disease, who lost his life on Wednesday night when the virus was detected, while this Thursday perished one of the first positive cases that were given in the national territory and who was being treated in a private clinic, bringing the number of deaths from this pandemic to five.

He also indicated that one of the fatal victims to this day was a 64-year-old citizen, who was infected by his own son after recently returning from Peru. This older adult had obstructive bronchopulmonary disease, was hypertensive, diabetic, and a smoker.

The other deceased was registered in the Miranda state, it is a 63-year-old male who was one of the first cases registered in the country.

Finally, Rodríguez assured that the number of recovered cases amounts to 29% of the 146 cases, of which 5 are in Intensive Care Units.
