Julio Chavez: Modification of the transition statute of the AN violates the National Constitution

Following the pretenses of the opposition bench to modify the transition statute of the National Assembly (AN), the deputy by the Homeland bloc, Julio Chavez, said that those who preside over this parliament will remain “as the worst in the nation’s republican history”.
During his speech at the ordinary session of the AN held on Tuesday, Chavez said that the modification of some articles of the Regulations for Interior and Debate, which intends to give powers to exiled opposition parliamentarians to legislate virtually, constitutes one more action to put an end to the parliament, by those who are “in golden exile” under the protection of the United States’s government:
“The revolutionary bench ratifies its attachment to the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. Today, more than ever, the Homeland bloc rejects the pretenses of violating this free-spirited constitution of the Venezuelan people”, he said.
The parliamentarian assured that 2020 will be a year to recover the legislative power with the support of the people, and history will be “in charge of talking about those who betrayed the Venezuelan people, those who were able of requesting a military invasion and economic sanctions”.
For his part, deputy Yul Jabour said that since the rise of the opposition to the presidency of the parliament they have complied with their delivering role in proposing a set of international actions to overthrow the legitimate government of President Nicolás Maduro and attack the Venezuelan people.
«They say that we are cowards, and it is they who call on imperialism to attack us. They say that we are the corrupt ones, and it was they who stole the money from the alleged humanitarian aid”, he said.
