Venezuela will denounce international human rights violations against fellow nationals in Colombia

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela reported on Thursday that it will denounce before the international organizations the violation of human rights by the Colombian government to the fellow nationals who are residing in the New Granadean nation.
»Venezuela will be alert to any degrading treatment or violation of the Human Rights of its citizens by the Government of lván Duque, and in use of International Law and of the instruments for the protection and defense of human rights, will denounce to international organizations the criminal attitude of the Colombian government», refers the statement published by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jorge Arreaza in his account on the Twitter social network.
Last Monday, the government of Iván Duque deported, irregularly and in violation of their human rights, 59 Venezuelans who were residing in Colombia, alleging that the fellow nationals participated in the massive mobilizations that have been registered for a week in the New Granadean nation, in rejection of the management of the Colombian president.
Given this situation, the National Government expressed concern about the “irregular deportation of Venezuelan citizens residing in Colombia, criminalizing Venezuelan migration and seeking to divert the attention of the true responsible for the Colombian crisis”.
Following, the full text:
“The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expresses its outrage and deep concern over the irregular deportation of Venezuelan citizens residing in the Republic of Colombia, to whom the Government of lván Duque intends to assign responsibility for the massive social protests that have taken place in the Colombian territory in the last days.
Venezuela denounces that the act of criminalizing Venezuelan migration in general is nothing more than a crude pretext to divert the attention of the true person responsible for the Colombian crisis, which is none other than the government of the Bogota oligarchy, and supposes a smokescreen to ignore the outraged and legitimate protest of the New Granadean people.
The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, categorically denounces the irregular and surreptitious conduct of the Government of Colombia, which through deportations carried out without formal accusation or trial formula, has incurred inhuman treatment of Venezuelan citizens, in violation of their Fundamental rights.
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela will be alert to any degrading treatment or violation of the Human Rights of its citizens by the Government of lván Duque, and in use of International Law and the instruments of protection and defense of human rights, will denounce before the international organizations the criminal attitude of the Colombian government.”
