TSJ delivered proposal to reform the Law on the Right of women to a life without violence


The National Commission of Gender Justice of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) delivered this week to the National Constituent Assembly (ANC), proposals for the reform of the Organic Law on the Right of Women to a Life Free of Violence.
The coordinator of the National Commission of Gender Justice of the TSJ and member of the Criminal Cassation Chamber of the Supreme Court, Francia Coello González, indicated that the proposals submitted to the ANC are the result of the consultation of all Judicial Circuits with competence in matters of crimes of violence against women and with the participation of all judges, as reviewed the Judiciary in a press release.
She also said that the proposals gather eleven years of experience and operation of the specialized jurisdiction, include innovations in the principles and development of the process on gender violence, in addition to strengthening the rights of victims, the participation of the National Women’s Defender, the inclusion of Communal Defense, among other elements.
