Comptroller General will request sanctions against subjects related to Guaidó

The Comptroller General of the Republic (CGR) will request before the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) and the Public Ministry (MP) the application of sanctions against citizens who are linked to the self-proclaimed deputy Juan Guaidó, in the theft of assets abroad, specifically those of Citgo, a subsidiary of Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA).
“From the CGR we have already sanctioned and taken actions within our powers against the entire band headed by Juan Guaidó”, said the comptroller in a Twitter message.
On September 25, Comptroller Elvis Amoroso denounced that the appointment of Javier Troconis, as commissioner for the management of Venezuelan assets abroad made by Juan Guaidó, without the recognition of the Venezuelan State, has caused a loss of 32,500 million dollars to the nation for the robbery of Citgo, a subsidiary of Petróleos de Venezuela.
That day, he announced the opening of an administrative proceeding against Troconis, and urged the Superintendency of Banking Sector Institutions (Sudeban) to ban Guaidó’s financial transactions.
The comptroller said he hopes to recover the assets of the nation, and thus he said the CGR went to a trade court in Vienna, Austria, “In order to expose how they have set up a shed to justify the illegal sale, for example, of Citgo”.
