President Maduro sends letter to Bachelet urging her to rectify the biased report against Venezuela

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, informed on Monday of his sending a letter to the high commissioner of the United Nations (UN) of Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet, regarding the historical and political truth of the country.
He denounced that the recent report issued from this instance is loaded with lies, and Bachelet must rectify: “Venezuela, through the chancellery, has already demanded a rectification of the lies, falsehoods, of the report read by Bachelet, and I am personally sending a letter to the commissioner with several truths”, he said.
The letter, he said, will be made public in the coming days in the city of Geneva, Switzerland, the UN headquarters on Human Rights matters.
The Head of State asked the high commissioner not to lend herself to fascism or interventionism. He stressed that the former president of Chile followed instructions from the United States Department of State (USA) and Elliott Abrams, the US official in charge of matters with Venezuela.
“It is a report loaded with lies, manipulations, inaccurate, false data; it is a repetition, a dogmatic reading of the reports of the former commissioner. I believe that (Bachelet) took a false step when reading a report that was prepared by the State Department”, he said.
