The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation made this Sunday statements in support of Venezuela, appealing for help from the international community to solve the problems of the South American country and rejecting any attempt at “destructive interference”:
“The objective of the international community should be to help (Venezuela), without meddling destructively from outside its borders”, said the director of the Latin American department of the portfolio of the Russian Federation, Alexander Shchetinin.
These statements come after the President of the United States (US), Donald Trump said in a recent interview that a military intervention in Venezuela is “certainly an option.”
