Padrino: The weapons are ready to defend the Homeland

The Minister for Defense, Vladímir Padrino López, ratified on Wednesday the loyalty of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) to the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, and assured that the weapons of this military body are ready to defend the Homeland in case of a foreign military intervention:
«We want to defend the Homeland. Weapons are ready to defend the Homeland and there is also the libertarian and Bolivarian spirit of the entire Bolivarian National Armed Forces to undertake with force, power, mysticism and military spirit, the constitutional task that corresponds to us, to defend the Homeland, democracy, the Constitution and everything that institutionality represents», said Padrino.
From the courtyard of the Libertador Battalion, at Fort Tiuna, Caracas, in the company of President Nicolás Maduro, the head of the Operational Strategic Command (CEOFANB), (A / J) Remigio Ceballo, and the Commander General of the Army, (M / G) Jesús Suárez Chourio, assured that the FANB will be guarantor of the will of the people expressed on May 20, 2018 through the vote.
«We are here ratifying the loyalty to the country, ratifying the loyalty to our revolutionary and democratic principles, and ratifying our loyalty to the Constitution and the constitutional president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, which is only one: Nicolás Maduro Moros, Commander in Chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces», he added.
Padrino López said that the FANB will not lend to coup plotting, and so he assured that the treason of 2002 will never be repeated, when a group of soldiers ignored the Constitution and bowed to the coup d’état orchestrated by the oligarchy, passing over of the will of the Venezuelan people.
