ANC approved constituent agreement in homage to Xoan Noya

The National Constituent Assembly (ANC) approved on Tuesday a constituent agreement in homage to the revolutionary leader Xoan Noya, who died this Saturday.

During the event, constituent leaders highlighted the important work carried out by this social and internationalist fighter for the youth and the Venezuelan Revolution.

The president of the ANC, Diosdado Cabello, recommended not remembering Xoan Noya in past tense: “It is not ‘Xoan wanted’, it’s not ‘Xoan fought?; It is Xoan struggling every day, to keep him always present (…) as we have our martyrs in the present and in the future”.

Noya’s career was characterized by his professionalism as an internationalist. He was deputy minister of the Venezuelan Chancellory and until recently a member of the Commission for International Relations of the Youth of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, a position that gave him the title of “The Chancellor of Youth”.

In addition, more than 30 social organizations around the world have expressed their condolences and support for the unfortunate premature departure of the youth leader.
