Gabriela Peña, vice minister of the System of Communal Training System and Social Movements of the Ministry of People’s Power for the Communes, highlighted the participation of 543 delegates in the Congress of Communes recently held in Caracas.
A total of 1,762 citizen assemblies were held at the meeting, with the participation of 15,738 communal councils and 154,452 spokespersons of the people’s power that make life in 2,018 communes in the country:
“We have a work with the young community members that we are going to strengthen now with Comrade Mervin Maldonado, from the vice presidency for the Communes and Social Movements”, said Peña.
In her opinion it must keep advancing, and for this it is necessary for the communities to continue incorporating themselves into their communal movements and to group both young people and older adults. The information was provided during their participation in the “Constituyente Juvenil” (Youth Constituent) program, broadcast by RNV Activa (Youth Channel).
