Rangel: International solidarity towards Venezuela operates as a protective shield

The great spectrum of international relations that Venezuela has, constitutes a vital tool to counteract the media offensive driven by the right wing from abroad by the Government of the United States, the European Union and the Lima Group, as well as the interventionist threats against the nation, as said journalist José Vicente Rangel:

“Venezuela is not isolated. On the contrary, it has an active solidarity that acts as a protective shield against any aggression. It has a broad spectrum of friendly and solidarity relations in the world, which is lacked by the nations that attack it”, he said at the beginning of his program, “José Vicente Hoy” (José Vicente Today), broadcast on Sunday.

In his political reflection, he signed as excellent the diplomatic, economic, financial, cultural, and military relations with the two powers -China and Russia., as well as with emerging nations such as Iran, peoples such as the Vietnamese, the Arab countries and all the nations of Africa.

Therefore, Rangel observed that the messages with which the media factors of the right wing intend to sow anguish and frustration in the Venezuelans on a daily basis, should be combated and denounced in the same way in order to put them in evidence:

“We should not let ourselves be trapped by lies, the falsification of reality”, but rather “raise our spirits, become aware that Venezuela will overcome the situation through which it is circumstantially passing, and that, far from being isolated, in the world it has broad support and solidarity”, he insisted.

Rangel said that, against this, the recurrent and systematic policy of threats that the world’s right wing applies in order to exert dominance led by the president of the United States, Donald Trump, also against other countries, against the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and the International Criminal Court.

“Therefore, we must assess the true power and its effects, of the US Government, from the President up to the team that supports him in his message, whatever he can really do or is willing to do, to distinguish between the real consequences and, given that attitude, not to let be provoked and at the same time not underestimate it, neither to be scared or let be overwhelmed”, he added.
