Maduro receives support from several countries after magnicidal attack

Presidents of different nations, representatives of social movements and political parties of the world, condemned the unsuccessful attempt of assassination perpetrated on August 4, against the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, during the 81st anniversary of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), held on the Bolivar Avenue, in Caracas.

The Hugo Chávez Front for the Defense of the Peoples (Fdphc), on its Vancouver chapter, in Canada, rejected – by means of a communiqué – the frustrated attack that attacked the physical integrity of the national Executive, at the time it qualifies the act as a terrorist act.

“The attachment to acts not only violent but of terrorism on the part of those who refuse to submit to the democratic will of the Venezuelan people, is shameful and is punished by the ethical tribunal to which we belong,” reads the letter issued by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

Likewise, the Fdphc extended its solidarity to the Venezuelan population and to the Head of State, in the face of the situation of an interventionist threat in the country.

“We unite in solidarity with the Venezuelan people and all those who love peace, justice and the democratic process in Venezuela. The attack is vile and treacherous with the unmistakable marks of the Venezuelan right wing supported by the imperial government of the United States and its allies”, says the text.

For his part, the President of the Republic of Namibia, Hage Geingob, repudiated – through a statement – the assassination attempt against his Venezuelan counterpart, and took the opportunity to express his support for the Homeland of Bolívar and Chávez.

“We unite in solidarity with your Excellency, the Government and the people of Venezuela during these turbulent times, and we wish a quick and peaceful investigation that will lead the perpetrators of this mean and cowardly act to face justice”, gathers the message picks.

At the same time, the Current in Struggle for Socialism in Mexico, expressed -also in an official pronouncement- its support for Venezuela and the maximum leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, after the recent event, also, it stands in solidarity with President Maduro, in his fight to defend the sovereignty and self-determination of the territory.

“These desperate attempts to halt the development of a country will fail because in Venezuela there is a conscious people that will know how to respond to these destabilizing actions”, says the letter.
