“These results are the result of joint deployment by security and prevention institutions in Mérida, following the guidance of President Nicolás Maduro, to combat crime and economic warfare, simultaneously”, said Guzmán on Thursday in the headquarters command of the Bolivarian National Guard of the Alberto Adriani municipality.

There they accounted for 293,600 kilos of strategic materials such as steel and copper, seized; of laptop computers of the Canaima Educational program, recovered, and 6 transport units, retained for smuggling of fuel.

“These are actions aimed at those who take advantage of the favorable conditions of our country, to convert social benefits into businesses and divert them through extraction smuggling”, said the delegate protector for Merida.
