The National Constituent Assembly (ANC) authorized the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, to complete a work journey for more than five days at an international level, which began on July 8 in Turkey.
The permit was requested by the Head of State through a letter sent to the board of directors of the plenipotentiary body, in which he indicated that his agenda is part of efforts to consolidate a multipolar scenario.
According to article 235 of the Constitution of the Republic, presidential trips outside the country for more than five days must be authorized by the National Assembly (AN).
Given that this instance is in a condition of judicial contempt and that the ANC is a plenipotentiary body, Maduro’s request was made before this last instance.
