Chancellor Arreaza held meeting with new President of Costa Rica

The Chancellor of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, attended the investiture ceremony of the new president of Costa Rica, Carlos Alvarado, which took place on Tuesday in the Plaza de la Democracia in the Central American country.

“On behalf of President Nicolás Maduro, we congratulate the new President of Costa Rica, Carlos Alvarado. We appreciate your hospitality and we wish you every success for the good of the Costa Rican people and of our America, “said the Venezuelan diplomat after the ceremony in a message posted on his Twitter account (@jaarreaza).

On the sidelines of the act of investiture, the Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs also held an “excellent meeting” with the vice president and chancellor of the new Government of Costa Rica, Epsy Campbell.
In parallel, the diplomat spoke with the presidents of Bolivia, Evo Morales; from the Dominican Republic, Danilo Medina; of Panama, Juan Carlos Varela; and from El Salvador, Salvador Sánchez Cerén.

During his visit to Costa Rica, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister also met with the president of the Congress of Deputies of Spain, Ana Pastor, and with solidarity groups with Venezuela of the Central American nation.

President Carlos Alvarado received at the ceremony all the Latin American delegations, including the Venezuelan one led by Minister Arreaza.
