The Venezuelan Electoral Power extended an invitation to the High Representative of the European Union, Federica Mogherini, to incorporate a mission of international accompaniment and observation to the electoral elections of May 20.
This was reported by the main rector of the CNE, Tibisay Lucena, during a press conference at the headquarters of the electoral body. The information had been announced by the Chancellor of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, during his statements to the media, in Brussels.
In the meeting, Arreaza ratified the will of the Venezuelan people to exercise their right to vote in the upcoming elections.

On the invitation, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reiterated that the guarantees of the Venezuelan electoral system are full and added that “Many countries would like such a transparent electoral system. We invite the High Representative of the European Union to send a technical mission of accompaniment and observation so that they can learn from him. ”
