“From Venezuela we have seen the oil market for the benefit of our peoples, highlighting humanism, solidarity and complementarity.” This was expressed by the Minister of People’s Power of Petroleum and president of Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA), Manuel Quevedo, during his participation at the Ministerial Panel, called: “To inspire, lead and create opportunities that transform the global energy landscape”, within the framework of the Egypt Petroleum Show.
In this regard, he referred to the initiatives being undertaken by the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, aimed at improving the quality of life of the humblest ones, for which he mentioned the support provided to the Caribbean islands that do not have sufficient resources to access the oil market.
He also highlighted the participation of Caracas in historic agreements, such as the Declaration of Cooperation of the OPEC+ nations.
“This is an initiative that has brought great lessons for humanity, where countries inside and outside OPEC were reunited with a common interest: rebalance the world oil market”, added the Venezuelan Minister of Petroleum.
During his participation in the Ministerial Panel, the holder of the hydrocarbon portfolio highlighted the visionary and futuristic nature of the Fatherland of Bolívar and Chávez in relation to the oil market.
Among the goals of this panel are to support global progress to create collaboration and associations that help boost the global energy industry, foster progress, create new policies, develop international frameworks to create growth, sustainable development and opportunities to help overcome challenges specific to the country and the industry and implement, structure and integrate visionary global initiatives that empower and optimize the oil and gas sector, strengthening the economic fundamentals of the industry to achieve a sustainable and successful energy future.
Minister Quevedo shared a panel with his counterparts Tarek El Molla, of the Arab Republic of Egypt; Mustapha Guitouni, from Algeria; and David Mahlobo, from South Africa.
The Egypt Petroleum Show represents the largest oil and gas exhibition in North Africa, offering the unique opportunity to establish oil and gas partnerships with countries and companies around the world.
