Chavismo won in more than 300 mayors of the country

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, led the celebration of the revolutionary forces, after the perfect victory with more than 300 mayoralties of the 335 in dispute and the Governorship of Zulia state this Sunday, December 10.

“The People’s hope has triumphed today. Today, hope in the Homeland has been renewed. Today the Revolution of hope has triumphed (…) the Venezuelan people gave a tremendous demonstration getting the big cities: Caracas, Valencia, Maracaibo, Barcelona, Tucupita, Barquisimeto, Trujillo, Valera, Barinas; I also congratulate the new Governor of Zulia state, Omar Prieto”, said the Head of State from the Plaza Bolivar square in Caracas.

The Head of State congratulated all the mayors elected in the 335 municipalities of the country, as well as to the National Electoral Council.

“An exemplary CNE that must continue working and giving the example of professionalism (…) the Venezuelan electoral system is an exemplary system (…) at this time, a hot audit of 54% of the polling stations takes place, which only happens in the Bolivarian, democratic and socialist Venezuela”.

“I congratulate Caracas, which has elected Erika Farías, first woman mayor of Caracas, we gave a shot to the candidate of the oligarchy, more than 65% of the votes, record in voting, almost 500,000 votes. You are going to have a great mayor”, he said.

He assured that the Bolivarian Revolution once again defeated US imperialism in 140 days.

This year in 140 days we flipped the play to imperialism. We flipped their move with votes, 3 wins in 3 elections, our way is the electoral, participatory democracy. Union for there to be a revolution. This is the time for unity”, he stressed.

He added that the Bolivarian Government closes the year 2017 in victory, after 3 convincing victories.

“We are closing 2017 in victory, the people must remain united. With the Carnet de la Patria (Homeland card) we have created new protection for the people (…) with the victory of December 10 the people have earned the right to a victorious Christmas and so should continue the course of the months.

The National President reiterated his desire to deepen the political dialogue with the opposition, to contribute to political, economic and social peace for Venezuela

“I want to tell that part of the opposition that I managed to sit down in the dialogue table, that I am sitting for the dialogue. If you want, I want, I am ready for dialogue, so that never more you go to the guarimba (riots)”, he said.
