Venezuela congratulates the Lebanese Republic for its 74th anniversary of its independence

The Bolivarian Government of Venezuela congratulated the Lebanese Republic for celebrating the 74th anniversary of its independence on Wednesday.

Through a communiqué released by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, is highlighted “the courage of all those heroes who resisted European colonial rule and raised their united voices for obtaining their full freedom and sovereignty.”

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, on behalf of the Bolivarian People and Government, expresses his most sincere words of joy and congratulations to the Brotherly People and Government of the Lebanese Republic, on the occasion of the celebration of the 74th anniversary of their independence.

The Bolivarian People joins the celebration of this important date, which commemorates the courage of all those heroes who resisted the European colonial rule and raised their united voices for the attainment of their full freedom and sovereignty.

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela has no doubt that the Lebanese people will continue to triumph in the attainment of their full prosperity and a lasting peace, a dream that was fully shared by Commander Hugo Chávez Frías, whose legacy of struggle for justice and peace in the Arab world became a doctrine of love and brotherhood that still today is flying the whole Venezuelan people.

The Bolivarian Government reiterates the deep bonds of brotherhood, society and respect that unite our Peoples, which have become historically close thanks to those hundreds of thousands of Lebanese who decided to take root in Venezuela, always being welcomed with open arms by this Bolivarian people and brother of the causes of the Arab world, which will always advocate strengthening the existing cooperation links between our countries, while extending the best wishes of peace and prosperity to the Lebanese people.
