Government and opposition to resume dialogue this week

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, said this Sunday that the dialogue with the Venezuelan political opposition «is going well» and that meetings are being held in private with the main leaders of this sector, in which has been advanced in a 95 % in the drafting of a document of agreement between the parties.

In his program «Los Domingos com Maduro» (Sundays with Maduro) he explained that part of the agreement is to resume the next week the table of dialogue, resumed on September 14 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

«We are in a 95% advance of an agreement with the political opposition. There is being drafted a document with a 95% of advance. It will be known when it is concluded. I aspire that, next (this) week, as we have agreed, will resume the dialogue with the opposition», he said.

He indicated that the private meetings between the delegations of the National Government and the main leaders of the opposition coalition «Mesa de la Unidad Democrática» (Democratic Unity Board – MUD) have been maintained.

«The dialogue is going well, there are meetings in private with the main leaders of the Venezuelan opposition, despite whatever they declare. We are in a permanent conversation with them», he said.
