AN must coexist and live with the Original Constituent Power

“It is truly regrettable that the Venezuelan right wing refuses the dialogue and coexistence between the constituted power and the constituent power, it refuses to coexist, and always takes the path of violence or foreign intervention”.

This pointing out was made by Delcy Rodríguez, president of the National Constituent Assembly, at the end of the meeting of the Commission of Truth, Justice, Peace and Public Tranquility, at the headquarters of the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry in Caracas.

Rodríguez criticized the lies spread from some international information channels on the supposed dissolution of the Parliament, minutes after the approval of the Decree of Harmonious Coexistence. “It is a lie that they are dissolved, today they were in session, albeit without a quorum”.

She recalled that on Friday, the ANC in the framework of the Decree of Harmonious Coexistence between the different branches of the National Public Power Constituted and the Constituent Power, convened the Directors board of the National Assembly to appear before the ANC, and they did not come.

“What did the Constituent National Assembly told to the old Parliament?: That they have to work respecting the Constitution and the laws of the Republic, it has to coexist and live with the original Constituent Power, just as it happened in 1999 …”

Rodríguez said that since the arrival of the Constituent Assembly began “a process of institutional renormalization, consolidation and defense of peace”, a process that has sought to be disturbed by the coalition of governments seeking the intervention of the country. “With the Constituent Assembly came the calm, the peace.”
