Maduro demanded justice to the Citizen and Judicial Power for right wing coup-plotting actions

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, urged the authorities of the Citizen and Judiciary Powers to agree on actions to avoid impunity in the face of the actions of a coup-plotting nature promoted by the opposition, seeking a foreign intervention in the country.

He urged the Ombudsman, Tareck William Saab; the General Comptroller of the Republic, Manuel Galindo, and the Attorney General of the Republic, Luisa Ortega Díaz, as well as the Supreme Court of Justice, to agree on Monday on actions to bring justice against the armed sedition of the right wing that since last April has charged the life of more than 73 people and which has caused more than a thousand wounded.

“Is it constitutional and legitimate to accept that forces and political leaders of a fraction of the country call for a coup d’ etat to end a legitimate government, elected by the people, and impose a government that no one chose in order to impose an oligarchic dictatorship? Are there no legal responsibilities? Is it total impunity then? ” asked the National leader to those powers.

“I demand imprisonment for those who call for a coup d’état; I ask for justice so that there is peace “, emphasized the Head of State, while reiterating his call to dialogue to channelize the solutions to the problems of the Venezuelans.
