Ameliach: MUD has counted days as a political party

“The MUD has its days counted as a political party in Venezuela, due to illicit facts committed”, said Francisco Ameliach, Governor of Carabobo state and vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV).

During his participation in the “Hablando de Poder” (Speaking of Power) program, broadcast by Radio Nacional de Venezuela (RNV), the regional leader explained that the Act on Political Parties, Public Meetings and Manifestations obliges the renewal of the respective directives of those organizations according to the Articles 10, 16, 25 and 32 of the aforementioned legal instrument, in force since 1965.

In the opinion of the political leader, should the National Electoral Council (CNE) decide to apply article 32 of the Political Parties Act, most opposition parties should be canceled for not complying with the regulations.

The Law establishes that the election of the directive of the political parties must be by primary elections, a situation that has not been realized in the aforementioned political organization of the Venezuelan right wing.
