Diego Olivera, director of International Barometer, said that at the Fifth Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, will bring a firm message of Unity facing diversity.
In his opinion, it is important to carry this type of message, just now that the geopolitical reality of Latin America has changed. According to Olivera, this event to be held in the Dominican Republic will allow a new stage for the CELAC, where the unity of Latin American and Caribbean peoples must be the basis.
He added that the message of the Venezuelan Head of State will be joined by others, such as the one by Evo Morales, President of Bolivia. This was emphasized during an interview conducted in the program «En La Palestra» (At the BOard), broadcast by RNV-Informative channel.
The summit will be held on January 25, 2017, at the tourist resort of Bávaro, in the eastern province of La Altagracia.
CELAC is composed by Venezuela, Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Dominica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Grenada, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras and Jamaica.
