The president of the National Assembly (AN), Parliamentarian Jorge Rodríguez, announced that a work agenda has been agreed upon with representatives of the various opposition groups in the country, within the framework of the Program for Peace and Democratic Coexistence, in a meeting held with the forces of the Great Patriotic Pole, as part of the dialogue seeking the full political participation of all actors in the current Venezuelan reality:
“It is a work agenda that will be quickly made so that we can meet again next Monday in the afternoon hours so we can already advance on this,” he informed at a press conference after the meeting held in Caracas.
He added that the Acting President, Delcy Rodríguez, has ordered the creation of the Program for Peace and Democratic Coexistence, comprised of various figures from the Great Patriotic Pole Simón Bolívar (GPPSB) and the Venezuelan opposition.
Rodríguez specified that it will be the representatives of the Great Patriotic Pole Simón Bolívar the ones in charge of engaging in conversations with the entire opposition political spectrum in the country.
He detailed that the Great Patriotic Pole is present in these processes of seeking dialogue with opposition political parties and the entire opposition political spectrum of Venezuela.
On this occasion he was accompanied by the governor of Sucre state, Jhoana Carrillo; Deputy Carolina García, Deputy Jorge Arreaza, and the vice presidents of the National Assembly (AN), Pedro Infante and Grecia Colmenares.
This Thursday, as he indicated, will continue the cycle of conversations, and he will hold other meetings with more political and social organizations on this issue.
Dialogue to eradicate violence:
“We are in the seek for a dialogue that resolves concrete issues in the form of early victories, but one that, above all, addresses the strategic elements,” he added, explaining that the objective is to ensure that anyone who wishes to engage in politics can do so without any obstacles, according to what the Bolivarian Constitution guarantees.
“That is, not to use political participation to once again promote violence, violent actions by Venezuelans against Venezuelans, nor to use politics to call for invasions or military aggression against Venezuela,” he exemplified.
He specified that the meeting this Wednesday with political representatives included the opposition parties Nuevo Tiempo, Unión y Cambio, Fuerza Venezuela, Movimiento al Socialismo, Partido Puente, Cambio en Paz, Alianza del Lápiz, Vamos a Venezuela, and Fuerza Vecinal.
“In this regard, we salute the development of a reunion of significant proposals, a reunion that I believe will yield sensible results for the vast majority of the Venezuelan people, who believe that this is the way to achieve stability and to achieve the well-being and prosperity that all of us men and women deserve in peace.”
