Attorney General supports TSJ actions in protection of the Constitution


On Wednesday, the Attorney General of the Republic issued a statement expressing its appreciation and support for the actions of the nation’s Judiciary Power, which on Tuesday admitted an protection appeal in defense of the constitution and democratic order in the country.
In this appeal, filed by the same prosecutor, it is requested to make provisions to avoid actions of the NA against the constitution, after observing the repeated threats of the Parliament to the other public powers and its call to carry out a political trial against the president Of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, although this is not established in any article of the Magna Carta.
This protection measure was admitted by the Constitutional Chamber, which in its ruling 948 declared itself competent and ordered the NA “to refrain from continuing the unconstitutional, null and non-existent ‘political trial’ (impeachment) against the Constitutional President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, citizen Nicolás Maduro Moros “.

Following this ruling, the Attorney General’s Office expressed its recognition and support “to the strict provision of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) in guaranteeing the protection of the democratic and social State of Law and Justice.”
The body dedicated to defending the rights of the Republic also reaffirmed its willingness to face any new attempt to break the rule of law, while remaining vigilant about the return of the NA to constitutionality “beyond the particular conduct of some of their spokesmen and leaders, who have advanced their disrespect and disrespect to this new decision of the Supreme Court of Justice, imposing their arrogance and malcriacy – empty of any legal attribute – over and above the institutionality and the feelings of the Venezuelan people. ”
The prosecutor also said that Parliament must comply with the court’s decision and recalled that parliamentary immunity “is not a law designed to promote constitutional violations from the National Legislative.”
