On Thursday, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, delivered the 1,200,000th housing from the Great Housing Mission Venezuela (GMVV), in an activity from Trujillo state.
“I feel very happy to live these moments. I always say ‘God, give me strength and health to reach the goal of 3 million homes,’ “said the Venezuelan Head of State.
The President emphasized that the goal of the National Government “is to build territorial socialism, community socialism.”
Maduro was received with joy and enthusiasm by the people of Trujillo. Luis Alfonso Montilla, one of the people who received an apartment, expressed his emotion to have the visit of the National President, who extended words of support in the revolutionary struggle and thus continue to promote the socialist Homeland.
For his part, the Minister of People’s Power for Housing said: “We are running in execution for our town 367,000 housings, to continue and meet the goal, towards the 3 millionth housing, which is the commitment to our people”
Quevedo stressed that, with this delivery, in Trujillo state reaches a total of 31,923 homes granted to the inhabitants of that entity.
Since April 30, 2011, the Mission Housing has achieved that more than one million families, who have historically been excluded, can live in a safe and dignified home that provides them with a better quality of life.
The Mission, a product of this socialist model, has increased the capacity of the State to project, build and deliver thousands of urban developments throughout the country every week, while creating jobs and boosting the country’s economy.
